The Fastback Montreux Celebrates the Montreux "round the houses" Grand Prix, a one-off open-wheeled single-seat GP held on June 3rd, 1934, in Montreux, Switzerland. The 2,063 mi long street circuit saw 12 thoroughbred race cars roar through the narrow avenues of Montreux, fighting for a podium for 90-laps, reaching speeds of up to 65.8 mph.
Montreux's unique coastal landscape, nestled between the Swiss Alps and Lake Geneva, was the backdrop of the one-off Grand Prix and the ideal design inspiration for the Fastback Montreux. The topographic map-like structure of the layered carbon bezel, case, and forged carbon dial denote the steep hills that overlook the city of Montreux. In contrast, the iconic powder blue and orange combination synonymous with motorsports evoke the sunny Mediterranean-like climate and blue waters of Lake Léman. The Viton rubber bicolor strap's bright blue and black color scheme further underscores Fastback Montreux's Swiss Riviera racing spirit.
