Baselworld Release: Grand Seiko Historical Collection 55th Anniversary - SBGR095, SBGR091, SBGR092, SBGR094, SBGH037, SBGH039, SBGA125, SBGA127

Seiko Watch Corporation is big on celebrating anniversaries, and their latest historical collection is sure to be a crowd pleaser.  This time around we're celebrating the 55th Anniversary of Grand Seiko.  In 1967 Seiko introduced the very first automatic winding movement Grand Seiko piece dubbed the 62GS. 

The new SBGR095 is an updated version of the original automatic model.  This new model features the mechanical 9S65 Caliber with the following features:
- Self-winding Automatic movement
- Accuracy of +5 to -3 seconds a day
- 72 hour power reserve
- 35 Jewels
- 28,000 vibrations per hour

Beyond the SBGR095 stainless steel cased model which is limited to 600 pieces worldwide, there will be 3 gold models available as well.  The SBG091 is in 18K White Gold, the SBGR092 is in 18K Yellow Gold, and the SBGR094 is in 18K Pink Gold.  All of the Gold models will be limited to 100 pieces each for the world.

Each of these models will be 37.6mm in case diameter and will be 12.9mm thick while featuring a Box-style Sapphire glass, anti-reflective crystal. Additionally, as historical collections dictate they will all be finished with  genuine Crocodile straps.

Beyond the highly limited models listed above, Grand Seiko will also release 4 additional models of the 62G2 historical collection that will also be limited edition.  The SBGH037 & SBGH039 will feature the mechanical high-beat caliber 9S85 and the SBGA125 & SBGA127 will feature the Spring-Drive 9R65 caliber.

These additional Grand Seiko 55th Anniversary Historical pieces feature a 40mm case diameter.  The High-beat versions offer a 12.9mm case thickness while the Spring-Drive models feature a 12.8mm thickness.  

All versions feature a box-type anti-reflective coated Sapphire glass crystal, a see-through Sapphire glass case-back, and 10ATM water resistance.
