Bremont is one of our favorite distinctively British brands here. While they may not have decades or centuries of heritage in the brand, their attention to detail and engineering prowess is second to none. Development has never been rushed to ensure Bremont watches are of exceeding quality, unique, and individual in their own right.
Last month (before Baselworld), Bremont took the wraps off 3 new pieces that are really exciting. First up is the Bremont ALT1-ZT/51. It is a gorgeous model taking styling cues from Bremont's previous limited edition, the P51.
Next up is a new variation on the popular MBII series. The new MBII-WH features an elegant and legible white dial while still maintaining the engineering demands that sets the MB series apart from the pack. It is available with 3 barrel colors to choose from.
Finally, from Pre-Baselworld we have a stunning classic timepiece. Introducing a new variation on the ALT1-C series. This time with a black dial and a polished steel case. This is the ALT1-C/PB.
Now we get to the meat and potatoes on this post, the new Baswelworld 2016 releases. The first introduction is a new collection called the America's Cup Regatta series and is comprised of a four pieces split between two America's Cup models and two Oracle Team USA models.
The America's Cup models are available in your choice of Stainless Steel Or Rose Gold. Both models feature Bremont's Trip-Tick construction case design with scratch resistant DLC treatment on the case barrel. The diameter is 43mm and the case thickness is 16mm. Inside we find a custom Bremont automatic movement with 25 jewels that beats at 28,800bph, has a 42 hour power reserve, and an America’s Cup decorated rotor. This chronograph movement features a central seconds counter, a 12 hour counter and a 5 minute countdown timer.
The Oracle Team USA models both utilize a Satin titanium case with bi-directional rotating bezel and feature Bremont's Trip-Tick construction case with scratch resistant DLC treated case barrel. Additionally, OTUSA AC72 foil material integrated is into crown. The Case diameter is also 43mm. Inside we find a custom Bremont automatic movement with 25 jewels that beats at 28,800bph, has a 42 hour power reserve, and an America’s Cup decorated rotor. This chronograph movement features a central seconds counter, a 12 hour counter, a 5 minute countdown timer, and a 15 minute Regatta timer.
All of these models are C.O.S.C. certified to ensure excellent timekeeping and were developed in conjunction with ORACLE TEAM USA, who stressed the importance of countdown functionality when racing.
Next up we have a limited edition that we feel is the star of their Baselworld 2016 introductions. To celebrate Boeing's 100th birthday, Bremont has debuted a stunning Boeing Chronograph model dubbed the Boeing 100. This is a unique and special model for many reasons (which we will get into below).
One of our favorite features of this limited edition is that integrated into its crown is a piece of Boeing's carbon fibre composite from it's ZA004 Dreamliner testbed aircraft. This aircraft is extremely important in the history of Boeing and it is integrated directly into each of the 300 piece manufactured in this limited run.
The case is made of Boeing's aviation-grade Ti 6-4 titanium featuring Bremont's Trip-Tick case design, bi-directional rotating bezel, and a DLC coated case barrel. The case measure 43mm. The dial is a classic shade of brown known as "Boeing Brown". It was a classic color scheme in early Boeing planes. It was designed to make the cockpits more relaxing to be in.
Inside we find a Modified calibre 13 BE-54AE automatic chronometer movement. It has 25 jewels, beats at 28,800bph, has a 42 hour power reserve with Chronograph and GMT functionality. Finishing off the movement is a Bremont Boeing skeletonized decorated rotor.
These dynamic (and a few more that we're not covering here) will be available soon from AZ Fine Time. Stay tuned to our web site for more information. In the meantime, take a look at the Bremont timepieces available here.
