MUHLE GAHUTTE - NAUTISCHE INSTRUMENTE

The great-grandfather of the current owner Hans-Jürgen Mühle planted the seed of the company more than 135 years ago, and in doing so contributed considerably to Glashütte’s modern reputation as the centre of the German clock-making industry: he built and sold measuring instruments for the local clock manufacturers.

The production of high-precision wrist-watches was added later. This decision proved extremely successful – in fact, so much so that this branch of business has turned into Mühle-Glashütte’s core business. Today Nautische Instrumente Mühle-Glashütte has been in business for over ten years.

At Nautische Instrumente Mühle-Glashütte one thing comes before all else: accuracy. We know how to make an excellent movement even better. We use Swiss movements as the basis, since they have proven to be reliable and robust thousands of times over. The first stage of our company philosophy reveals itself in our choice of suppliers and stringent quality controls: there is no movement which cannot be significantly improved.
